Eden centre celebrated International Day of Disability ceremony for the
disabled children in Dandawgyi park on 3rd December, 2008.

The centre also celebrated Christmas Eve ceremony on 23rd December, 2008.
Myanmar physically handicap association organized disabled people
and made a excursion trip to Hlawgar garden on 4th January,2009, independent
day. Twenty five disabled people from Smile World self-help group
participated in this trip. Smile world SHG was a group emerged by the
initiating of a project of the centre.
A hydrotherapy workshop was conducted at Eden centre on 19th December
2008 by Saw Kelvin, senior therapist from spastic centre in Singapore.
Ma May Myat Mon Aung, a client of Eden Centre was honored all-round
outstanding award on 3rd December, 2008 by Department of Social Welfare.
Centre for Disability in Development conducted Disability Equality
Training from 1st December to 12th December 2008. Twenty four participants
from various organizations attended this training.

A ceremony to introduce the first Eden magazine, ECDC annual Magazine
2008 and to honor the writers who wrote for this magazine was held at Yangon
Disabled Resource Centre on 9.8.2008.

The ceremony to honor the outstanding disabled students, one of the
programs of Inclusive Education project was held on 27.5.2008 at Eden
Centre.
Three disability related trainings were held from June 2008 to August
2008 at Centre for Disability in Development (CDD). They are
(1) Disability
and Development training
(2) Community Based Rehabilitation training
(3)
Disability Equality training
Sixty eight participants from various
non-government social organizations attended. The Disability Awareness
Training which was held from (25.8.08) to (19.9.08) was jointly conducted by
the Department of Social Welfare and CDD.

There are (46) children from Eden Centre who participated in the "Rainy
Season Special Olympic for Amateur "events, held at the Aung San stadium on
(26.7.2008). Eight disabled children gained gold medals, nine silver medals
and seven bronze medals respectively.
