On 17th September 2011 the third 'Disability Studies Certificate Course' was successfully finished.
The duration of the course is 20 weeks, 60 hours.
There are 11 trainees from disability related organizations.
This course was conducted once a year since 2009.

A compile of “Eden Series” was now published as book form. It was combined different kind of disabilities and kind of services.

Eden Centre has implemented “Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)” project in Hlaingtharyar Township, Yangon suburb areas from April 2007 to March 2011, four years project. As we have well experienced in CBR program we are now started new four CBR projects in Yangon Division and Sagaing Division since April and July 2011.

ဧဒင္စင္တာရွိ ေရကုထံုးႏွင့္ဆိုင္ေသာ ေရကူးကန္ကို ႏိုင္ငံတကာစံခ်ိန္မီ အဆင့္ျမွင့္ တင္ခဲ႔ပါသည္။ ဖြင့္ပြဲအခန္းအနားကို အင္းစိန္ျမိ့ဳနယ္ရွိ ဧဒင္စင္တာတြင္ ၁၈ ဂ်ဴလိုင္လ ၂၀၁၁ ေန႔တြင္ ျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့သည္။ အဖြင့္အမွာစကားကို လူမႈ၀န္ထမ္းဦးစီးဌာနမွ ဦးေအာင္ေဇာ္မိုး၊ အမွာစကားကို ျမန္မာ ႏိုင္ငံဆိုင္ရာ အစ္ၥေရးသံအမတ္ H.E Yaron Mayar ႏွင့္ အစ္ၥေရးႏိုင္ငံတြင္ ေရကုထံုးႏွင့္ဆိုင္ေသာ သင္တန္းတက္ေရာက္ရာတြင္အေထာက္အပံ႔ေပးခဲ့ေသာ Amnon Nihamias  တို႔မွ အသီးသီး ေျပာၾကားခဲ႔သည္။

The only disability related magazine which is a periodic publication, has now available for August 2011 issue.

 After renovating the previous hydrotherapy pool of Eden centre up to international standard official opening of the pool was organized on 18th July 2011 at Eden Centre, Insein Yangon. Opening speech was delivered by U Aung Zaw Moe, Social Welfare Department, Yangon Division. A remark was given by H.E Yaron Mayer, the Ambassador of the State of Israel Embassy and Mr. Amnon Nihamias, a sponsor of hydrotherapy training at Israel. Brief history, current and plan activities of Eden Centre for this hydrotherapy pool was given by U Tha Uke, Managing Director and a words of thanks was announced by Ms. Lilian Gyi, Director of the Centre.

၂၀၀၉-၂၀၁၀ ခုႏွစ္တြင္ ဧဒင္မသန္စြမ္းသက္ငယ္မ်ားျပဳသုရာရိပ္ျမံဳသည္ Welthungerhilfe (German Agro Ation-GAA) အဖြဲ႔ႏွင့္ပူးတြဲၿပီး မသန္စြမ္းကေလးမ်ားအတြက္ ပင္မေက်ာင္းမ်ားတြင္ အတန္းပညာသင္ၾကားႏိုင္ေရးအတြက္ လူတိုင္းအက်ဳံး၀င္ပညာေရးလုပ္ငန္း (IE)ႏွင့္ လူ႔စြမ္းအားအရင္းအျမစ္ဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးေရးလုပ္ငန္းကို ဒုတိယစီမံကိန္းအျဖစ္ ၂၀၀၉ ခုႏွစ္ ဇူလိုင္လမွ စတင္၍ ေဆာင္ရြက္လွ်က္ရွိပါသည္။ ယခင္၀န္ထမ္း(၅)ဦးျဖင့္ လည္ပတ္ခဲ့ၿပီး ယခုအခါ ေအာက္ေဖာ္ျပပါ ၀န္ထမ္းသစ္(၅)ဦးကို တိုးခ်ဲ႕ခန္႔ထားႏိုင္ခဲ့ပါသည္။

“ အလင္းသစ္မဂၢဇင္း “ ကို အမွတ္(၆၁-က)၊ ၀ါဦး(၄)လမ္း၊ ေဖာ့ကန္ရပ္ကြက္၊အင္းစိန္ၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ ရန္ကုန္ၿမိဳ႕တြင္ ေျပာင္းေရႊ႕ဖြင့္ လွစ္ထားပါသည္။

 ဧဒင္ မသန္စြမ္းသင္ငယ္မ်ားျပဳစုရာ ရိပ္ျမံဳ၏ တိုးခ်ဲ႕လုပ္ငန္းအျဖစ္ ASD, ADHD ကေလးမ်ားကို ၀န္ေဆာင္မႈေပးရန္အတြက္၄င္း၊ အျခားမသန္စြမ္းကေလးမ်ားကို ၀န္ေဆာင္မႈေေပးရန္အတြက္၎၊ ရည္ရြယ္၍ ၾသဂုတ္လ(၃)ရက္ ၂၀၀၉ခုႏွစ္တြင္ Sun Shine Learning Centre တစ္ခုအျဖစ္ အမွတ္(က-၅၀)၊ ၀ါဦးေက်ာင္းလမ္း၊ ေဖာ့ကန္ရပ္ကြက္၊ အင္းစိန္ၿမိဳ႕နယ္တြင္ စတင္ဖြင့္လွစ္ခဲ့ပါသည္။ တစ္ခ်ိန္လွ်င္ (၁)နာရီ၊ တစ္ပတ္လွ်င္(၃)ၾကိမ္ျဖင့္ ေအာက္ေဖာ္ျပပါ မသန္စြမ္းကေလးမ်ားကို ၀န္ေဆာင္မႈေပးေနပါသည္။ ၀န္ေဆာင္မႈမ်ားအေနျဖင့္ အထူးပညာေရး (Special Education) ၊  Physiotherapy(PT) ၊အႏုစိတ္ေလ့က်င့္ျခင္း (Occupational Therapy – OT) စသည္ျဖင့္ ၀န္ေဆာင္မႈေပးေနပါသည္။ ၀န္ေဆာင္မႈအတြက္ မသန္စြမ္းအမ်ဳိးအစားေပၚမူတည္၍ တစ္လလွ်င္ ၁၀၀၀၀ိ/- ၊ ၁၅၀၀၀ိ/- ၊ ၂၀၀၀၀ိ/- ၊ ၃၀၀၀၀ိ/- ျဖင့္ ၀န္ေၾကးမရွိစတ္မွတ္ထားပါသည္။

၁။ ဧဒင္ေဆးခန္း။ ၂၀၀၄ခုႏွစ္၊ ေအာက္တိုဘာလမွစ၍ တာေမြၿမိဳ႕နယ္ရွိ သွ်င္ပါဂူေဆးခန္းတြင္ Eden Stroke Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Clinic ဖြင့္လွစ္ကာ မသန္စြမ္းသက္ငယ္မ်ားျပဳစုရာရိပ္ျမံဳ၊ ပရဟိတလုပ္ငန္းအတြက္ ၀င္ေငြရွာေဖြေရး အစီအစဥ္ကို စတင္ႏိုင္ခဲ့ပါသည္။

၁။ရန္ကုန္မသန္စြမ္းအရင္းအျမစ္စင္တာ( Yangon Disabled Resource Centre –YDRC)

ဧဒင္ရိပ္ျမံဳွႏွင့္ ၎၏လုပ္ငန္းခြဲျဖစ္ေသာ “ ရန္ကုန္မသန္စြမ္းအရင္းအျမစ္စင္တာ “ တို႔က ေအာက္ပါစာအုပ္မ်ားကို ၂၀၀၇-၂၀၀၈ ခုႏွစ္မ်ားတြင္ ထုတ္ေ၀ျဖန္႔ခ်ီႏိုင္ခဲ့ပါသည္။
-    “ ဥာဏ္ရည္နိမ့္ေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားအတြက္ အထူးပညာေရး (ဆရာလက္စြဲ)” စာအုပ္ကို အမွတ္(၁) အေျခခံပညာေရးဦးစီးဌာနႏွင့္ ပူးေပါင္းၿပီး ထုတ္ေ၀ခဲ့ပါသည္။
-    “ မသန္စြမ္းသူမ်ားအတြက္ အခြင့္အေရးညီမွ်ေစျခင္းဆိုင္ရာ စံျပဳအပ္ေသာ စည္းမ်ဥ္းမ်ား “ ကိုလည္းထုတ္ေ၀ၿပီးျဖစ္ပါသည္။

လူမႈ၀န္ထမ္းဦးစီးဌာနႏ်င့္ေသာ္လည္းေကာင္း၊ အျခားအဖြဲံအစသည္းမ်ားႏွင့္ေသာ္လည္းေကာင္း မသန္စြမ္းႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္သည့္ သင္တန္းမ်ားကို ႏွစ္စဥ္စီစဥ္က်င္းပေပးေနပါသည္။

လူမႈ၀န္ထမ္းဦးစီးဌာနႏွင့္ သာမက အျခား မစန္မစြမ္းသူမ်ားႏွင့္ ပတ္သကိသည့္လုပ္ငန္းတြင္ လုပ္ေဆာင္ေနသာသူမ်ား၊ စိတ္၀င္စားသူမ်ားႏွင့္လုပ္ငန္းမ်ားကို အေျခအေနႏွင့္ အခြင့္အခါေပးသလို အတူလက္တြဲ လုပ္ေဆာင္ေနပါသည္။

ဧဒင္ရိပ္ျမံဳ၏ လုပ္ငန္းေဆာင္ရြက္ခ်က္မ်ားႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္ၿပီး မိဘမ်ား၊ အလွဴရွင္မ်ား၊ ဧည့္သည္မ်ားအား အသိေပးႏိုင္ရန္အတြက္ အခါအားေလွ်ာ္စြာ ေက်ာင္းတြင္းျဖန္႔ေ၀သည့္ ဧဒင္သတင္းလႊာမ်ားကို ျပင္ဆင္ကာ မိဘမ်ားထံ ျဖန္႔ေ၀ပါသည္။ မသန္စြမ္းမႈႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္ေသာ ဗဟုသုတမ်ားကိုလည္း ျပည္သူလူထုက ပိုမိုသိရွိရန္အတြက္ အခါအားေလွ်ာ္စြာ ထုတ္ေ၀ပါသည္။

အမ်ဳိးသားက်န္းမာေရးျပတိုက္တြင္ ဧဒင္ရိပ္ျမံဳ၏ ၀န္ေဆာင္မႈလုပ္ငန္းႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္ၿပီး ျပည္သူမ်ားက ပိုမိုသိရွိရန္အတြက္ ျပခန္းဖြင့္လွစ္ျပသထားပါသည္။

Starting from early of 2007 Eden Centre for Disability Children has started a new branch program “Centre for Disability in Development (CDD)”. This project was signed agreement with “The leprosy Mission International (TLMI)”  to work together in disability related field.

Starting from end of 2006 Eden Centre for Disability Children has started a new branch program “Yangon Disabled resource Centre (YDRC)”. This project was signed agreement with “The leprosy Mission International (TLMI)”  to work together in disability related field.

‘Eden Centre for Disabled Children’ has worked very closely with the Ministry of Social Welfare since the beginning. Through the center’s ‘Outreach’ program the Physiotherapy services were provided at five different residence centre under the ministry and a private children home. The centre is a member of the organization "Asia-Pacific Development Centre on Disability" (APCD) [http://www.apcdproject.org/] which is a leading regional organization in the disability field.

Capacity Building

Eden Stroke Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Clinic’ was opened in October 2004 at ‘Shin Pa Ku Specialist Centre’. The organization rents a small room and now six qualified Physiotherapists are working there full time. This clinic is planned to become an income generator source for the future. We also hope that through this program we can promote the role of Physiotherapy in the rehabilitation field.

To promote disability awareness in the community the centre is organizing some activities such as excursion program for disabled children to interesting places such as the zoo, national museum, etc. The centre has been displayed in the ‘National Health Museum’ since 2003. The center’s news was frequently published in periodical journals and magazines. The ‘Eden News Letter’ is distributed quite frequently.

In “National Health Museum” Eden has display about the organization to promote awareness since 2003.
